DR. RAHUL KUMAR

MBBS, DM, FINR (Switzerland) Consultant Endovascular intervention Neurologist

A graduate of the prestigious Kasturba Medical College ( Manipal Academy of Higher Education), Dr. Rahul Kumar did his super speciality training (DM Neurology) from Bangalore. Thereafter he has spent two years in Swizerland and France learning and developing his skills in the emerging field of Interventional Neurology.

He specializes in Intracranial Aneurysms Embolization (coiling), Arteriovenous Malformation (AVMs), Tumour Embolization, Angioplasty and Stenting of arterial stenosis including carotid stenting and Intra-arterial Thrombolysis for stroke.

Prior to setting up GS Neuroscience Clinic & Research Centre – the first & only Endovascular Neurointervention Centre in Patna treating patients of Bihar, adjoining Eastern U. P., West Bengal, Orrisa, Chattisgadh, M. P., North East, and Nepal, he has served as Asst. Professor of Neurology, IGIMS, Patna from 2012 to 2014. He is a Core Committee member of the working group preparing the National Stroke Database, under the auspices of ICMR. Dr. Rahul Kumar has been a Co-Investigator/Principal Investigator in more than 20 multinational drug trials in India. He has authored more than 45 articles/text book chapters in peer reviewed journals/textbooks, and has presented more than 40 papers in various state/national/international conferences.
